This is the Privacy Policy of Obsidian Video (https://obsidian.video) and GULP (https://gulp.wtf), operated by GULP STUDIOS LLC / BTS Studios (“us”, “we”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and protected when you use our AI Cinema Studio, NLE timeline editor, MCP interfaces, or streaming services.

1. Personal Information We Collect

  • Account Registration Information: When you sign in via Firebase Authentication, we collect your email address, display name, and authentication UID to sync your studio credits, takes, and timeline projects.
  • Payment Information: Subscription and credit top-up transactions are processed directly by Stripe. We do not store raw payment card numbers on our servers.
  • Studio Media & Prompts: Scene prompts, camera motion parameters, timeline JSON states, and generated video/audio assets are stored in our Firebase Firestore database and Cloudflare R2 object storage bucket (obsidian-videos) so you can access and edit your takes across sessions.
  • Consent-Gated Analytics & Error Diagnostics (PostHog): Only after you grant explicit permission via our Cookie Consent Banner (“Accept All”), we use PostHog (routed via first-party /ingest proxy to us.i.posthog.com) to measure page navigation, feature performance, and unhandled client exceptions (capture_exceptions). If you select “Essential Only” or have not consented, PostHog remains strictly opted-out and uninitialized.

2. Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Automated Processing Disclosures

FTC & Global AI Transparency Disclosure: Obsidian Video routes your creative prompts and reference frames to generative AI models (such as Google Veo, Seedance, Kling, Wan, Nano Banana, Sync Lipsync, and ElevenLabs) solely at your explicit direction when you trigger a studio action. We do not use automated algorithms to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.

3. How We Use & Protect Your Information

  • Provisioning generation credits, storing takes in Cloudflare R2, and syncing NLE timelines;
  • Allowing 1-click export of 9:16 vertical micro-dramas and 16:9 cinema cuts to GULP (gulp.wtf);
  • Diagnosing studio rendering latency and WebGL/WebCodecs stability (when analytics consent is active);
  • Enforcing security rules, preventing fraud, and complying with applicable laws.

4. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to access, rectify, or delete your personal data, and to opt out of non-essential analytics tracking at any time. We do not sell your personal information. You can change your cookie and PostHog telemetry consent at any time using the “Cookie & PostHog Preferences” button at the top of this page or in the site footer, or submit a formal request under the Data Rights Request tab.
